ABOUT US
Traffic Tech Pty Ltd started in 2000 in Sydney, Australia. We created the Patented EzyLoops®
Sub-surface vehicle detection System. Since then, we've focused on making innovative products for the ITS sector. State and National government authorities and major infrastructure companies prefer us for ITS systems. Our expertise lies in Automated barrier systems and traffic technology products.
With over 50 years of experience in developing and manufacturing ITS systems, our Directors and team work closely with suppliers and clients. Together, we create practical solutions tailored to each client's needs.
Traffic Tech won the M4 East ARMB project, completed in late 2018.
ARMBs were installed on the M4 East project, and Traffic Tech optimized the ARMB drive system.
Traffic Tech established a US sales agent and secured the M5/M8 ARMB project, completed in 2020.
Traffic Tech innovated with carbon fiber booms for the SLBG (Patented).
Traffic Tech expanded its ITS product lineup with the "Smart Lane" family, including the Smart Lane Merge Gate (SLMG), Smart Lane Boom Gate (SLBG), and Smart Lane Flood Warning Detector (SLFWD). Significant installations of Boom Gates in NSW tunnels occurred, and the SLMG passed crash testing to MASH TL3 standards.
Traffic Tech aggressively expanded its product range and technologies, including advanced systems like Expanse PC for portal closure, OHVD for Over Height Vehicle Detection, and various integrated traffic management solutions.
Traffic Tech continued expanding its product range with systems for bus terminals, airport terminal management, and HOV/HOT lane entry and exit. The SLMM and SLEG (Emergency Gate) designs were optimized for enhanced performance, reliability, and safety.
Traffic Tech developed the Patented EzyLoops pre-formed subsurface vehicle detection loops.
The success of EzyLoops led to the opening of an office in Nevada, USA in 2005. Today, EzyLoops are manufactured in Ireland, New Zealand, and the USA, and Traffic Tech serves clients across Asia, Europe, and the Americas.
Traffic Tech introduced the solar-powered School Zone Flashing Light (SZFL) System. Hundreds of SZFLs were installed throughout New South Wales, ensuring safety at schools. Traffic Tech continues to enhance visibility warning devices for flood zones, highways, and crossings in collaboration with technology partners and clients.
Traffic Tech developed the Pedestrian and Bicycle Switch Pad and the I-Stud Magnetic field detector as alternatives to traditional loops. These products were later transferred to an associate company for further development.
Traffic Tech developed the fully electric Smart Lane Movable Median (SLMM, formerly ARMB). Over the past decade, Traffic Tech has installed many SLMMs in Australia, including nineteen fully electric versions in the last five years.
